Our Norway set is not a tour of Norway. It is Lofoten, filmed close, and we think that is the more useful thing to offer. The archipelago drops granite peaks straight into Arctic water with almost no foothills in between, and that vertical compression is exactly what stereoscopic VR180 is good at. Reinebringen and Henningsvar Lookout both put you on a summit with a village and a fjord stacked underneath, and the drop reads as an actual drop rather than a flat blue shape below a flat grey one.

A good deal of this set sits still rather than moves, which suits the place. Fjords of Lofoten holds on the water while it laps and the birds call. Reine Viewpoint frames what is probably the most photographed village in northern Norway and then leaves it alone. Arctic Beach Paradise is filmed under the midnight sun at Vik Beach, when the sun above the Arctic Circle does not set at all and the low golden hour stretches for hours instead of minutes. If you would rather move, Arctic Alps to Ocean traces Mount Mannen’s ridge down to the sand, and Rytens Reward - Farm to Fjord climbs from pasture to rocky summit and finishes at Kvalvika Beach. Lofoten is not only landscape, either.
